Whilst you can take a sigh of relief, the little workers at our favourite confectionery, snacking and beverage companies have been busy at work, creating all of the delicious things for us.
New year = lots of new products!
We’ve been drooling just looking at what’s due to hit our shelves in the next month or two.

Give Me Some Sugar – What’s New for Confectionery?
First up, new 5 Gum available from Mars Wrigley is coming at you in three awesome flavours. For the adventurous amongst us, you’ll want to check out Watermelon Burst and Blueberry Rush. For those who prefer a more classic chew, you can’t go past Cool Mint.
If you’ve been living under a rock and missed out on the release of Scorched Peanut bar, now’s the time to get into them. Scorched has been trending on social media with Aussies all over the country wanting to know where they can get their hands on the tasty, peanuty bars.
Another bar in HIGH demand (and possibly the worst kept secret to ever come out of the confectionery industry), Twirl Caramilk is officially here and available to purchase. Feedback from consumers has been extremely positive, so get them while you can.
Fun fact: Did you know Mentos are found in one in every five Australian shopping baskets?
If that’s anything to go by, you’ll definitely want to check out their new Smoothies flavour.
Let us ask you this question… have you ever not wanted a KitKat? Exactly. No one in the right mind has ever turned a KitKat down. So, what better way to enjoy this classic bar, than with two delicious new flavours – Double Cookies & Cream and Honeycomb Smash.
Finally, just when you thought you had only just gotten over the Christmas hype, the guys at Fyna Food are already thinking about Easter! Stock up on their Wizz Fizz Eggs to prep for Easter like a pro. The Easter Bunny’s got nothing on you. Plus, Darrell Lea have got your back and are doing what they do best. Check out their Dad’s Bag ready for Father’s Day. Easy, delicious gift options, anyone?

Keep the kids happy with Fini. From Strawberry, Raspberry and Sour Pencils to tickle all tastebuds, to Licky Loot and Dubble Sour Dips, there is a sticky, tasty mess waiting for us all.
As if that wasn’t enough, the Universal Candy team have been busy developing even more treats to get the kids excited, including Flip-n-Dip Push Pops. Their eye-catching Warheads tin is perfect for an off-location display. Plus, if you don’t get hold of their Twist Pop and Sour Swirl Pops, you’ll be the only sucker around here.
There’s Nothing Wrong with a Snacks-ident
Did you know that when surveyed, consumers now, on average, prefer a savoury snack to a sweet one? Take advantage of this trend with new releases from some of the biggest names in the game.
Red Rock Deli have a couple of delicious Limited-Edition flavours in Moroccan Spiced Chicken & Lemon and Maple Glazed Bacon & Cheddar. Remember, Bacon + Anything = Taste Sensation. Plus, new Kettle Chip flavours in Roasted Tomato & Herb, Flamed Steak and Himalayan Pink Salt are some of their best yet.
Not only are tastebuds moving towards more savoury choices, but consumers are more health-conscious than ever. After extensive research, it has been found that a healthy breakfast bar option was missing from the convenience channel. Enter Bounce Brekkie Bar Range. They’re cold pressed, naturally low in sugar and made with natural ingredients. Plus, they’re the only breakie bar who can boast a 5 Star Health Rating.
Thirsty for a Great Beverage?
In a day and age where every little extra 1% counts, we’re up for getting help wherever we can. Providing that much needed boost, without all the nasties, Level Beverages are innovators in the drinks category. With their 28 Black, Arizona Iced Tea and Level Lemonade, there’s an option for all tastes and needs.
February sees a much-anticipated release from Frucor with their new V variant – Raspberry Lemonade. It’s so tasty that we’re confident if Prince were still about today, he would be singing about Raspberry Lemonade, not a Raspberry Beret.
AusBev were one of 2019’s quiet achievers, chugging along increasing their distribution of products across the country. They have become a firm favourite of consumers with their Sam’s and Farmer’s Organic ranges. Not ones to rest on their laurels, AusBev have just launched their new kids’ range – Good 2 Grow. With a fantastic offer for new stockists, we see this company going from strength to strength.
