There will be one time only offers, never to be repeated. It’s simple – be there or miss out.

The Rise of Snacking!

November 2019 saw the release of The State of Snacking Report from Mondelez. An industry first review into evolving consumer behaviours, conducted in association with polling specialist, Harris Poll.

Over 6000 individuals across the globe were questioned, with results revealing that unquestionably, people are dedicated to their snacks. Six in ten individuals prefer to eat many smaller meals through the day, rather than a few larger ones (that number is even higher for Millennials).

It’s no shock then, that the options and variety available in the world of snack foods havecontinued to diversify. Different flavours, shapes and ways to consume are just the beginning.

With more than half of adults saying “quick, on-the-go bites are more suited to their lifestyle than full meals”, the new Doritos Shots from Smith’s will surely prove to be a winner for the convenience channels. In small, snack-size packaging that will sit nicely on a counter, these little pocket rockets are available now.

You’ll also see evidence of flavour choices evolving; with Millennials and Gen Xers demanding more flavourful, bolder and ethnic options. From Smith’s Sizzling Beef and Teriyaki Chicken variants to Korean BBQ and Chicken Satay Pringles, these are trends you need to get behind.

Finally, whilst convenience and flavour rank very highly in the snack decision-making process, health continues to grow as an extremely important consideration. The lighter option for those conscious of their snacking choices has to be Poppables. Coming in at under 100 calories per serve, they’re not only delicious, but easy on the waistline, too.
