Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!

We’re pretty darn excited to announce that Australia’s favourite ball just came home!

According to AC Nielsen data for Petrol and Convenience, Bounce’s Coconut Macadamia Protein Energy Ball is the number one health ball in Australia. Understanding the value that Australian consumers place upon Aussie Made food and beverage, the team at Bounce have been working tirelessly to bring manufacturing back to our shores. It has been a labour of love to bring this little ball and his friends back home. Having to source specific ingredients to ensure exact replication of taste, as well as overcoming countless other hurdles. But, they did it!

To add a cherry on top of this already great news, now that the Bounce range is made within Australia, they have been able to pass on cost savings in transportation and reduce their recommended retail price. Australia’s favourite ball, made in Australia, the same great taste but at a lower price point? Now THAT is some good new to start October with!

Ghouls, ghosts, all things scary and gross

As if this year hasn’t gone fast enough already, can you believe that Halloween is here this month? We can’t help but wonder how it will be celebrated in this new world of 2020… We’re putting bets on there being some Corona Virus themed fancy dress! Can we still Trick or Treat with social distancing in place? Perhaps not. Though there is absolutely no reason why we should miss out on all the scarily delicious treats that grace the shelves this time of year.

You’ll see in October’s Snapshot some of the tasty options available…

Stuart Alexander always come up with the goods for Halloween, with their seasonal Chupa Chups Skull. Available either in a display box with 45 lollies, or a seriously cool spooky skull with 10 lollies. In two ghoulish flavours: Orange-Grape or Cola-Lemon, their lollies will even paint your tongue. Now, that’s sure to be a scary sight!

Why not create the Trick or Treat feeling at home and grab some share bags of lollies or choccies? Try Allsep’s Bag a Lollies and Bag a Sun Fruits or you can’t go far wrong with Cadbury Dairy Milk Freddo and Caramello Koala Share Bags.

For the more adventurous amongst us, you’ll want to get behind Funtastic’s Brain Busterz range. With super sour treats in the form of candy, spray and powder, these are sure to capture the attention of the little monsters out there.

Delicious Drinks with a bit of added ooomf

The last few years have seen a substantial shift in consumers making more conscious choices around their nutrition. This trend has even extended to the beverage category as shoppers look for drinks that provide added health benefits. Consumers of 2020 are taking their health into their own hands and are choosing beverages which help them achieve their goals.

Within October’s Snapshot you’ll see evidence of this progression, with a number of fantastic products that not only hit the right flavour notes, but give extra consideration to the health factor, too.

Firstly, join us in welcoming another new supplier to MyBrandz and “health yourself” with the fantastic range from VITHIT. These drinks are a unique combination of water, juice, teas and vitamins. Available in three flavours – Orange, Mango & Passionfruit, Apple & Elderflower and Berry, they are a great alternative to sugar and calorie filled drinks at only 35 calories per bottle. Yup, it’s like fruit and vitamins had a party in your mouth, but sugar didn’t get the invite!

Next, the legends at AusBev (the team who bring us Sam’s Juices), are leveraging the great reputation they have grown for themselves across the country and are launching a brand new range. Their Vitamin Water provides that sweet, fruity flavour, without all the nasties and calories. If that wasn’t enough, they have added extra vitamins and probiotics, too! Available in four flavours: Zero Calorie Watermelon and Low Calorie Orange, Berry Apple and Kiwi Lime.

For the little kids

Park Avenue Foods have been bringing happiness and great memories to Australian’s for over 15 years. Their licenced products transport some of our favourite characters from the big screen to life, providing a tasty treat alongside a toy which will entertain for hours. Their newest creations are Wobblerz. You can choose from Paw Patrol or Marvel Superheros, with each Wobbler including a collectable character, stickers and candies. That’s a triple whammy right there.

If you like your confectionery with a European flair, the team at AIT have just launched a new bulk range, all the way from Spain. The Damel range all come in at the 1kg size, with a selection including Sour Rainbow Brixx, Mega Sour Fruits and gummy Motorbikes and Sharks.

For the big kids

Who says the little kids should have all the fun? October sees a plethora of tasty treats for us grownups, too.

Question: What do you get if you take the good old Mars Bar and supercharge it with even more caramel? The newest limited-edition flavour from Mars, that’s what! Mars 200% Caramel takes the chewy, stretchy caramely-ness (yes, that’s a word) to the next level. A genuine warning for caramel lovers now – this bar is addictive. Try them at your own risk.

On the occasion that you’re feeling a little fancy, new Roca Buttercrunch Bites taste as decadent as they look. You’ll find them in three flavours – Almond, Dark Chocolate and Milk Chocolate. Beautifully presented in resealable pouches, these little beauties are perfect for taking along to a party, or as an indulgent treat for yourself.

Or, if you like to take your chocolatey treat with a side of feel-good, Darrell Lea have got you covered. Over the last two years, they have worked tirelessly to remove palm oil from all of their products. That is some achievement after having to source ingredients to deliver the same quality taste we know and love from their range. It is expected that by the end of this month, all of their products on shelves will be palm oil free!

And that’s just the start of it…
